The CII this year has attracted some big names not only from the industry, but also from the political scene.

Education secretary Charles Clarke and Conservative Party leader Iain Duncan Smith will both speak at this week's event. Clarke was scheduled to kick-off proceedings by addressing the CII's graduation ceremony in the Churchill Auditorium yesterday.

Duncan-Smith will make a pre-lunch speech to delegates in the exhibition hall at 12:30 today.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
