Preferred Medical has announced the launch of its PMI Club.
The web based service designed for independent financial advisors and general insurance brokers organises the sale of private medical insurance (PMI) online, the company said.
Preferred Medical said the online service allows intermediaries to purchase PMI for clients without compromising FSA rules.
In cases where the application cannot be filled out online, Preferred Medical said it would give advice directly to the client to conclude the sale.
AXA, BUPA and Legal & General Healthcare are among seven insurers who have supported the development of the scheme, it said.
