Professional risks insurer PRI has announced it will release Richard Candy so he can take up the role of underwriting director at Abbey Legal Protection.
Candy is to continue managing the relationship between Abbey Legal Protection and PRI through PRI's after-the-event scheme, Accident Line Protect.
PRI chief underwriting director Peter Matson said: "We're sorry that Richard is leaving but this is a great career opportunity for him.
"He will still be working closely with us in a client capacity and it won't affect our long-term goals to be a leading player in this field.
"Richard has provided invaluable input into the formation of our legal expenses division and we look forward to a continuing good relationship."
