Global insurance specialists, Primary Group, has announced that it has completed a deal with UK Insurance to purchase its Third Party Schemes Business (TPS) with annual income of around £25m.

The Direct Line Group purchased Green Flag in 1999 and acquired the niche insurance business, TPS, as part of the overall acquisition.

The business will trade under the name of UK Underwriting Ltd within the structure of the Primary Group.

It will continue its existing business lines under the direct control and management of Paul Smith, who becomes Managing Director.
