A new Lloyd's underwriting agency aimed at the leisure and pro sport industry has been launched in London.
Active Underwriting Specialists will target sectors such as adventure sports, health & fitness and visitor attractions for public liability, property, and accident and health.
Active is part of the Sportscover Group and will operate as a complimentary brand to Sportscover's amateur sport syndicate at Lloyd's.
Chris Nash, director of Sportscover Group, said: “Active will allow us to expand on the current specialist services that we provide to brokers by now offering a facility for risks in the leisure industry.”
Active will trade using Lloyd's security to write business in the growing market, with all products specifically tailored towards the needs of the leisure and pro sport industry, Nash added.
These will include operators, individuals, teams, clubs, associations, governing bodies and affinity groups.
