Internet-based reinsurance trading platform, inreon, has announced its 100th member.

German broking firm Koenig & Reeker has joined cedants and brokers from 17 countries that have signed membership agreements to trade via the platform.

Ranson icons deal
EH Ranson and Company has announced plans to deploy Software Solutions Partners' "icons" internet solution.

The system merges into EH Ranson's back-office administration system. The company claims this means there is no re-keying of data.

Carjacking warning
An Autoglass survey has found that four in ten drivers are not locking their car doors.

Meanwhile one in four women are not taking precautions to protect themselves while driving.

Despite government pleas to drivers to lock themselves in their cars to combat the threat, Autoglass is now urging insurers to ensure their policyholders know how to protect themselves.

Ian Carlisle, Autoglass managing director said: "We're concerned that drivers might worry that it's risky to lock yourself in but all the advice is that you must do so."

An online risk management system could help cut liability claims, the National Britannia Group has said.

The system, which is accompanied by visits by risk consultants and a 24-hour helpline, automatically prompts managers to ensure risk checks are not forgotten.

Highway exits NMT
Motor insurer Highway has announced that its support of New Millennium Technologies (NMT) will be terminated at the end of the year.

In a statement Highway said: "NMT now has the opportunity to seek fresh financial support from new sources."
