Work violence help
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has launched new guidance for small to medium-sized enterprises on how to tackle work-related violence.

The HSE said the guidance would help the businesses reduce their risks and improve efficiency and profitability.

An HSE spokeswoman said: "Work-related violence has a high cost for employees and the businesses they work for through sickness absence, staff turnover, higher insurance premiums and compensation payments."

The guidance comprises 10 case studies, ranging from a pizza delivery service, to a convenience store, drop-in centre and nightclub, with examples of how they have reduced the risk of violence to their staff.
