Motor manufacturer Suzuki GB has entered the travel insurance market. It will now offer annual multi-trip policies to its customers.

Suzuki says this is part of its strategy of reinforcing brand values by broadening its range of services.

The new service will be managed by Mondial Assistance.

Critical illness cover
UnumProvident has launched Elixia 123 - critical illness cover arranged in three ascending orders of protection.

The company says it differs from other critical illness policies because they tend to offer wide-ranging protection for many illnesses.

Its Elixia 123 policy allows customers to choose the type they want and only pay for that.

UnumProvident claims that giving this choice of cover will reduce some clients' premiums by as much as 50%.

InsurE-com deal
Insurance software provider and industry portal insurE-com has announced a new partnership with evesham.com, a PC and server manufacturer.

Under the new arrangement, evesham.com will provide technology products to insurE-com intermediaries at special rates. InsurE-com spokesman Chris Newman explained the company had chosen evesham.com because of its good reputation in the market. "All IT equipment can now be purchased direct through insurE-com," he added.

Primary travel package
Primary Insurance Group has made a deal with low-cost airline Ryanair to sell insurance to its 180,000 passengers a year.

The travel package focuses on providing comprehensive insurance for the typical Ryanair customer.

The insurance can be taken out through Ryanair's call centre at the same time as booking a ticket, or via the website ( www.ryanair.ie ).
