Independent Insurance's liquidators Pricewaterhousecoopers (PWC) expect to make an announcement about the future of Property & Casualty Services (PCS) this afternoon.
A PWC spokeswoman said the liquidators were in talks with a potential buyer for PCS until after midnight last night and were in back in meetings with the buyer again this morning.
PWC also expects to make an announcement on redundancies at Independent by the end of this week.
