Insurer grows Bristol team with senior appointments.

QBE has expanded its Bristol team and product offering to the South West region in attempts to grow its national distribution network.

Chris Parker has been appointed commercial manager of the Bristol office and she will lead the development of the team and product base. Parker has over two decades of industry experience and previously managed QBE’s casualty and property schemes with Suttons Specialist Risks, OAMPS and Kerry London. She will retain responsibility for these successful and important partnerships.

Key Bristol team appointments include Mark Baker as senior casualty underwriter and Nick Milton as senior motor underwriter. Recruitment for a senior property underwriter continues and an appointment is expected to be announced shortly. Completing the senior underwriting team is Andrew Macpherson, who has over 23 years experience in the professional indemnity market and has been with QBE in Bristol since 2004.

The expanded Bristol team, which now comprises of approximately 70 employees, will write a newly established multi-line casualty, motor, property, and professional indemnity account and will continue to manage QBE’s nationwide motor claims and its schemes with Suttons Specialist Risks, OAMPS and Kerry London.
