Insurance industry portal provider insurE-com has signed up Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) and Allianz Cornhill to its panel of insurers.
There are now 34 motor and 12 household products live or at "advanced stages of testing" on the system.
R&SA UK personal e-business manager Dave John said: "The speed and ease with which we have been able to implement EDI [electronic data interchange] with insurE-com has been really impressive. The real time update capability of insurE-com's software provides R&SA with better control of product distribution than ever before."
Zurich, Sabre and Link are already live on the system and Norwich Union, Groupama, Provident, AXA, MMA and Equity Redstar are due to sign off live products shortly.
