IT provider Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has announced that Royal and SunAlliance has reaffirmed its commitment to CSC's Colossus personal injury (PI) solution.
Under the deal Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has extended its contract with CSC by seven years.
R&SA claims operations manager John Thompson said Colossus had "delivered up to expectations and possibly even beyond".
"Our 800 claims handlers are now able to make fair and more consistent assessments of personal injury claims and this has brought about impressive cost savings."
CSC claims the product allows for fair and consistent PI assessments based on a knowledge-based claims evaluation system.
