The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has appointed David King as its executive director.
King has been appointed on secondment from Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) for an initial period of one year. He is the second senior R&SA figure seconded to the IRM, following the previous appointment of Steve Fowler.
IRM chairman Paul Howard said: "We are delighted to welcome David as our new Executive Director and we are very grateful to RSA for their continued support for the Institute as it enters the launch phase of its new educational programme.
"Following Steve Fowler's excellent work over the past 15 months, all the directors are looking forward to working with David on the development of IRM's risk management education and training programmes."
