Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has announced the launch of a home insurance product, Clearchoice.
The company said Clearchoice, which will replace its existing offering, uses a notional rating mechanism based on house type, age, number of bedrooms and postcode.
R&SA said the rating mechanism equips it with a better understanding of the risk, ensuring that a more sophisticated pricing structure can be employed and the policyholder is protected from under-insurance.
