Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) said it expects to bank £44m as a result of its exit from the Chilean life assurance market.
It is selling its 51% stake in La Construccion to La Camara Chilena de la Construccion, which already owns the remaining stake.
The move is part of R&SA's retreat from non-core lines and regions to concentrate on general insurance.
