IT service provider Rebus iS has worked with aviation insurance broker Grimme Butcher Jones to convert its operations from its existing system to the Windows-based solution Brokasure Desktop.

Rebus iS changed Grimme Butcher Jones' systems within 10 days.

Grimme Butcher Jones needed to set up its own broking operations following gaining independence from its former parent, Lloyd's broker Norman Butcher and Jones (NBJ).

Grimme Butcher Jones company secretary John Crisp said: "With the help of Rebus iS, the conversion from our old system to Brokasure was unexpectedly easy and painless. When we established ourselves independently, we had an extremely small window in which to transfer our data from NBJ's system.

"Rebus not only loaned us an IBM RS/6000 server immediately, but also helped with our data input. Our new system is more flexible and cost-effective and offers advanced functionality, combined with ease of use."

Brokasure Desktop has more than 700 users in the London insurance market.
