Over regulations is “strangling” British business, City of London Law Society president David McIntosh has claimed.

McIntosh said red tape is jeopardising the economic and commercial future of UK-businesses.

He claims too much regulation is creating a compensation culture which encourages businesses to be risk-averse.

“The government fails to understand that it has itself sponsored the compensation culture by encouraging everybody to think that when something goes wrong there will always be somebody to blame and pursue,” McIntosh said.
