Ricksons Solicitors has taken on the personal injury teams of Whittles Solicitors.
The seven-strong team will operate from Ricksons' Manchester and Leeds offices. Existing clients such as Fortis, Direct Line Group and Groupama will join with the team - boosting Ricksons' annual turnover by £1m.
Ricksons managing partner Anthony Hughes said: "This is a major development for the firm - it is a stage in the practice's history that will cement our reputation for expertise in insurance litigation as well as making a statement of intent in relation to our future ambitions.
