RTA Portal appoints directors

The RTA Portal Company has appointed eight directors responsible for the management and development of the RTA Portal.

The RTA Portal is used by motor insurers, compensators and claimant legal representatives so that claims information can be exchanged securely and faster agreements can be reached on liability and claims settlement.

The directors are David Bott, managing partner of Bott & Company; Graham Gibson, director of claims at Allianz; Richard Harris, head of operations at Ageas; Tony Sherman, finance director at MIB; John Spencer, a personal injury law solicitor; John Usher, a solicitor specialising in trade union and labour law; Martin Ward, project manager in the chief operating office of RBS Insurance and Fraser Whitehead, senior litigation partner at law firm Russell Jones and Walker.

Tim Wallis, appointed as independent chairman of the RTA Portal Company, said: "By virtue of the range of interests represented by the directors, the users of the RTA Portal can be satisfied that their ongoing needs are being met and most importantly, so too are those individuals making claims in this category.”
