Sainsbury's Bank is to start offering home insurance, with the insurance arm of the HBOS group, Halifax General Insurance Services Limited (HGISL), acting as the provider.
The companies say the policy will provide comprehensive home cover, along with added benefits of free legal expenses cover and home emergency cover in the first year.
Customers will even receive Sainsbury's Reward Points - 500 points for taking out either a buildings or a contents policy, and 1000 points for both.
HGISL head of personal lines Simon Stevens said: "Sainsbury's Bank has enjoyed another great year, including insurance sales up threefold, and we are delighted to be their partner in this venture.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for both parties."
The Sainsbury's Bank Home Insurance policy will be available to customers through Sainsbury's stores from 26 June.
