Ratings agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) has affirmed its ratings on Trans Re Zurich (TRZ), citing the reinsurer's core status as part of Transatlantic Reinsurance, its very strong risk-adjusted capitalization and its satisfactory operating performance.
S&P affirmed the Switzerland-based reinsurance company's AA long-term counterparty credit and insurer financial strength ratings. The outlook is stable.
The agency added that an offsetting factor was the company's business position, which, "although carefully targeted, is modest by global standards".
