Rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) has removed the AA long-term counterparty credit and insurer financial strength ratings from CreditWatch on UK-based insurer International Insurance of Hannover (Inter Hannover).
The ratings were placed on CreditWatch at the end of December, but they have now been affirmed and assigned a stable outlook.
S&P director David Laxton commented: "The affirmation reflects the continuing core role of Inter Hannover to Hannover Re, and follows a full review of Inter Hannover's stand-alone financial strength in light of its new strategic focus to become the Hannover Re group's carrier for European program business."
Inter Hannover is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Germany-based Insurer Hannover Re.
