The UK's leading insurance associations will join forces at a seminar in March to discuss security issues.
Building on the success of last year's joint seminars between Standard & Poor's and the CII, this year's seminar has been extended to include members of the Aimic, the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB), the Life Insurance Association (LIA), the Society of Financial Advisers (SOFA), and Biba.
CII marketing director Steve Wellard commented: "The seminar is an excellent example of an event where practitioners can enhance and maintain their competence.
"This is central to the CII's activities this year, and we are delighted that the events have proved so successful and that the program is being expanded."
Standard & Poor's director Peter Hughes said: "The seminar will lay bare the rating process and look at the detail behind insurance ratings, including the criteria and processes involved.
"This is an opportunity for attendees to ask searching questions about ratings and Standard & Poor's, and for them to learn about how ratings are developing."
The seminar will be held on Wednesday 12 March at the CII in London.
