SCOR's net income has surged 42% to €102m in the first half of 2006.

The company said gross written premiums rose to €1,372m, up 16% compared to the first half of 2005.

The combined ratio for non-life reinsurance was 98.2% at 30 June 2006, compared to 99.7% at 30 June 2005.
