Insurance Times senior reporter Christine Seib has been voted Biba Journalist of the Year.
Insurance Times senior reporter Christine Seib has been voted Journalist of the Year and Best Trade Journalist.
Seib picked up the BIBA award at lunchtime today. Seib's coverage of Independent Insurance has been outstanding and includes the scoop of discovering that the FSA was tipped off by French authorities about irregularities at the company in 2000. This was followed up by Radio 4's Today programme and many others.
Former London Market reporter Yvette Essen was highly commended in the best newcomer section.
Insurance Times editor Andy Cook said: "I'm delighted. Christine deserves recognition for being one of the best business journalists in the country."
