First phase of market set to roll out in October
Sirius has teamed up with Polaris to launch an integration facility between Sirius' back office and i-Market.
Sirius claims that i-Market - the trading infrastructure formerly known as Polaris
E-Market - has received the backing of several key players.
October has been set as the target date for the first phase of i-Market to be rolled-out.
Polaris managing director Martin McLachlan said: "Sirius, with its Stargate commercial initiative, pioneered full end-to-end electronic connectivity, between brokers' and insurers' extranet/ quotation systems."
Sirius chief executive Mike Dodd said: "Sirius is committed to this important industry initiative.
"I-Market will make access to multiple insurer extranets a reality for all brokers and Stargate commercial connectivity both complements and expands this service."
