Sirius Financial Systems has provided the first phase of integration between its back office system and imarket, the trading infrastructure technology under development by Polaris.

Sirius has provided a `click-through' facility from its Stargate programme, which it said provided easy access to the imarket portal.

Sirius said this was the first integration process to be announced between imarket and a software house. It said it currently used Polaris standards for Stargate development work.

Sirius chief executive for UK systems Mike Dodd said the company was fully committed to the imarket initiative. He said Sirius would make further announcements on imarket integration, security and web services by the middle of 2004.
