Sirius Financial Systems is to make selected Zurich products available through its Stargate Commercial programme, a dedicated electronic trading platform.
The first products available through Stargate will be Zurich's shops and offices, hair and beauty salons and surgeries auto-rated products.
Zurich UK commercial distribution and marketing manager Nichola Thompson said: "Through Stargate we are now able to link our online quotation and new business capability directly to the Sirius brokers, which will further extend our reach into the UK small business market."
Sirius said it would launch other insurers, including Groupama, Norwich Union, Markel, St Paul and Fortis, on Stargate over the new few months.
Allianz Cornhill is scheduled to start using Stargate for its contractors, shops and offices products before the end of the year, according to Sirius.
