Smart and Cook has bought the insurance broking arm of Lincolnshire-based firm Adams Financial Services. The new staff will join Smart and Cook's Lincoln office.
Adams previously operated as both an independent financial adviser and an insurance broker. The company sold its broking business in order to concentrate on the provision of financial services, according to Smart and Cook.
Smart and Cook said the acquisition was part of a carefully planned growth strategy.
