New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has issued a subpoena for the Chubb Corporation.
Spitzer is seeking information on certain compensation agreements between insurance brokers and Chubb’s insurance companies.
Chubb said it would cooperate fully with the inquiry.
According to a report, a wide reaching probe into the various types of payments made by insurers to brokers has resulted in subpoenas to Aon, Marsh & McLennan, Willis Holdings, Hub Internationals, and Kaye Insurance Associates.
