New York attorney general Eliot Spitzer has subpoenaed Moody's Investors Service in connection with its reinsurer ratings.
Moody's received a subpoena from Spitzer's office on 13 July regarding its reinsurer financial strength and subordinated debt ratings dating back to 1 January 1997.
Moody's said in the SEC filing that it is responding to the subpoenas and intends to continue cooperating with Spitzer's office.
