HBOS subsidiary St Andrews Membership Services (StAMS) has signed an agreement with the Firstream Group to develop and distribute online membership programmes to UK clients.
The programmes, aimed at customers of UK-based financial institutions and other organisations, will help clients improve their customer retention, cross selling and fee income, said StAMS.
Firstream will enter the UK membership market using programmes already used in Europe by clients including AIG and ING.
StAMS will work with Firstream to provide access to its secure online systems, incorporating Firstream's e-payment systems to create membership programmes.
Both companies will work together to develop third party business relationships with UK banks and organisations, with the intention of extending the range of products and services offered by StAMS to include; insurance, financial services, discounted media subscriptions, internet services, discounted telecoms and entertainment.
St Andrew's Membership Services chief executive Colin Whitehair said: “StAMS has much more to offer than just CardCare, our card protection insurance, and our development work with Firstream will see the introduction of enhanced online membership services, within the UK.”
