Outsourcing specialist Capita suffered on the stock market yesterday after it revealed plans to cut 300 jobs at its insurance services division.
Capita dropped 10.75 pence to 224.75 pence yesterday - topping the list of the day's fallers.
According to reports, traders are worried that the group could lose its place among the blue-chip elite when the FTSE100 is reshuffled on June 11.
Financial services firms were the hardest hit during yesterday's trading. Legal & General shed 2.5 pence to 88 pence. Meanwhile Royal & SunAlliance closed on 141.75 pence down 4.25%.
Norwich Union parent Aviva closed down 4.5% to 456.25 pence.
