AIG Europe has added medical and vocational rehabilitation services to its standard combined liability product.

The added services will be available on renewals and new business of all sizes.

Primary casualty manger Paul Baynham said the add-ons were a first for the UK insurance market.

AIG Europe subsidiary AIG Medical & Rehabilit- ation will provide individual case managers for each patient.

Aurora list of three
Aurora Corporate Services chief executive Ken Blanc refused to comment on talk that the company has narrowed its shortlist of buyers down to three companies.

Blanc was expected to tell Aurora staff the identity of the shortlisted three last week.

E-Market reform
IBM, which was commissioned in August this year to develop E-Market, claimed the Polaris E-Market platform would help reduce costs and improve service. IBM's general insurance offerings leader Andy Baldwin said if the platform were delivered, it would enable at least 1% to 3% reduction in the total expense ratio.

IUA backs LMP
The IUA is backing a pledge by the Market Reform Group to implement a more focused programme for reform on promoting LMP slips, electronic claims handling, and accounting and settlement.

IUA chairman Stephen Cane said: "The number of LMP slips in the market is growing fast and underwriters need to be prepared.

Hiscox renewal deal
Hiscox has announced an agreement with XL London Market (XLLM) to take on the renewal rights of XLLM's Denham Direct book of professional liability business.

Hiscox Insurance Company managing director Sian Fisher said: "This latest deal further demonstrates our commitment to expand our book of SME professionals."
