Brit adjuster panelBrit Insurance has appointed Crawford & Company to its panel of claims adjusters as part of a review of its claims handling processes. The contract will run for two years.

Markerstudy stakeMarkerstudy Insurance Group increased its stake in its subsidiary underwriting firm, Planet Insurance Company, following an acquisition of shares from founding shareholder Tony Allen of Allen & Allen Group. A report said the acquisition would allow a restructuring of Planet's business to enable direct trading with agents from 1 January 2004.

Work deathsFigures published by the Health and Safety Commission showed little change in the number of deaths in work-related accidents between 2002 and 2003 and 2001 and 2002.
