Evans goes for Tam
Chesterfield broker Evans & Salt has signed a deal with InsurE-com, for the provision of back-office processes. The broker will get InsurE-Tam, a Windows-based customer administration and financial accounting system for commercial lines brokers.

Blanc quits Aurora
Chief executive of Aurora Corporate Services Ken Blanc is to stand down from the company. He will officially leave on 30 April.

His decision comes after Capita Insurance Services bought Aurora, the company set up to manage the Independent Insurance run-off, on 17 February 2003.

Online legal help
IT services company CSC has launched a web-based system to help the insurance sector better manage its relationship with the legal profession. LitigationAdvisor is aimed at assisting insurers, lawyers, managers and government agencies formulate plans and budgets, and monitor legal bills from in-house lawyers and law firms.

Sirius purchase
Scottish broker Annandale Insurance Brokers has purchased the Sirius for Broking system.

The broker has also chosen Documaster, Sirius document management system, with the aim of becoming a paperless office within a year.

IRM search
The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has begun its search for a new executive director to succeed Steve Fowler. Fowler led the first phase of the Institute's business transformation programme and completes his 15-month secondment from Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) in July.

NU director retires
Norwich Union's (NU) director of regional business (South), Derek MacKenzie will retire after 40 years with NU at the end of the summer. He will be replaced by Phil Hitchcox, who is currently director of operations for personal lines at NU.
