CNA Financial is the latest company to receive subpoenas from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and New York attorney general.
The investigation concerns finite insurance products the insurer has purchased and sold, reports said.
Bermuda-based RenaissanceRe Holdings has also received a subpoena from the SEC in connection with its investigation of nontraditional insurance products and its restatement of prior year's financial statements to correct accounting errors.
