French daredevil Alain Roberts added Lloyd's to the impressive list of buildings he has free-climbed. Roberts scaled the landmark at 10.30am on 13 May.
While newpapers and TV crews had been tipped off, Lloyd's was left in the dark.
"We knew nothing about it and do not approve on health and safety grounds," said a Lloyd's representative.
Roberts' previous climbs have included the Paris Vendome Column, the BT Tower and Toronto's CN tower.
