The Broker Network managed to rebroker £1.75m of business for its members within 24 hours of the collapse of Independent Insurance, it claims.
The network's underwriting room which houses underwriters from Avon, Axa, Allianz Cornhill, Hiscox, Charringtons and IAG placed £1m of commercial business, with £750,000 in personal lines business placed with other insurers.
Grant Ellis, managing director of the Broker Network said: “This was one occasion when the joint resources of the Broker Network pulled out all the stops for our members and had their business covered in double quick time.”
