The Folgate Partnership has announced the acquisition of Bervale Mead Insurance Brokers.

Bervale Mead, a member of the Willis Network, has a significant commercial account and controls the majority of the UK's growing timber business through its Woodland scheme.

The Bervale Mead brand will be retained and David Newton, Glen Norgate and Roger Burns will continue as the senior management team.

The business will become the third Hub in The Folgate Partnership's network.

Andy Homer, Group Chief Executive at The Folgate Partnership, said: "We are delighted that Bervale Mead will be joining us. It is a quality business with a strong management team, and will provide the nucleus for further acquisitions in the Home Counties."

Chairman of The Folgate Partnership Peter Cullum said: "The Folgate Partnership is in advanced stages of negotiation with a number of other potential hub brokers and the acquisition of Bervale Mead keeps us well on track to achieve our objective of becoming the UK's largest independent intermediary with £400m gross premium within three years of our launch."
