The birthplace of British motor sport and aviation, Brooklands Motor Racing Museum in Weybridge, Surrey, has re-opened after part of it was closed for eight months due to extensive flood damage.

At one point, the ground floor of the museum was two feet under water, but Royal & Sunalliance's team of loss adjusters and damage restoration specialists managed to salvage vintage vehicles worth more than £1m.

Famous for hosting the first ever Grand Prix, the museum attracts more than 100,000 visitors a year and is a venue for corporate events.
