Towergate Insurance has bought BWA (Insurance Services), trading as Beric Webb Associates.
The broking arm of BWA will move from Tunbridge Wells to join Towergate Insurance in Sevenoaks. BWA (Financial Services) will stay in Tunbridge Wells and trade as a seperate business.
Towergate Retail chief executive Jonathan Walker said: "This is the first of what we hope will be many acquisitions in the south east of England, and it brings a significant and reputable broking team into our business. BWA has many longstanding relationships in the local community and an impressive portfolio of products and insurer relationships."

The acquistion follows the refinancing deal between Towergate and Advent International that created a £90m war chest.
