BP’s rig operator has been paid $401m insurance claim
Stricken Gulf of Mexico rig operator Transocean said in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing that it had received a partial insurance payment of $401m, Dow Jones reports.
It and warned of "significant legal fees and costs" in response to lawsuits. The rig was declared a total loss, according to the filing. The company has received requests to participate in Congressional hearings on the incident.
