Last month's fire at the Triumph motorcycle factory is set to cost insurers £110m in property and business interruption claims, it was reported today.

While the figure is clearly significant, a Moody's spokesman pointed out that from a catastrophe point of view it is relatively small - with events like storms costing more in the region of $1bn.

Insurers affected are believed to include Ace, Zurich and Groupama.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
