Aberdeen broker Alan Bennett found dead on Saturday
A man and a woman have appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the death of insurance broker Alan Bennett, 56, from Cove, who was found dead at about 0400 BST on Saturday in Oldmill Road.
Paul Balgowan, 23, from Aberdeen, was charged with murder and conspiracy to rob. Julie Carroll, 24, from Aberdeen, faced a charge of conspiracy to rob.
Both made no plea at and were remanded in custody.
They are both expected to return to court next week.
Mr Bennett had been out in Aberdeen with work colleagues prior to his death, the BBC reports.
