London market insurance intermediary, Oxygen has announced details of two new teams joining its broking operation, Oxygen Insurance Brokers Ltd, to develop portfolios of construction, power and property insurance business.
Heading up the Construction and Power team is Duncan Urquhart. Previously, Managing Director of Marsh Ltd and former Head of its Global Industry and Construction Practices. Joining Duncan will be Jim Fuller and Hugo Gibbs, each of whom brings significant experience and expertise having previously worked at Marsh in these important industry sectors.
The Property team is led by Simon Delchar, who also joins from Marsh where he was Managing Director and Head of International Property for Global Markets. He will be joined by Damian Gobey and Alison Worwood to create a team specialising in mining, forest products, steel, telecoms and technology clients.
Commenting on the appointments Nigel Barton, Chief Executive of Oxygen, said: “It is an important step for the broking operation to have recruited such high quality people. These teams are typical of the entrepreneurial talent we are attracting to Oxygen."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
