Specialist affinity insurer for the not-for-profit sector UIA Insurance Limited (UIA) has announced it is offering a range of insurance services for charities wishing to generate new revenue streams.

Through UIA, charities will be able to offer their supporters tailored and branded general insurance products, including household, travel and motor policies.

Each policy taken out will attract a donation for the charity involved. As UIA is a mutual organisation, it is able to reinvest its profits to keep premiums low, which means it can offer charities competitively priced products.

UIA marketing director Ian Cracknell said: "UIA has been working in the not-for-profit sector for over a century, which means this is very much a natural move for us. We recognise that a charity has a carefully managed reputation and we are able to provide reassurance by being a supportive partner, that is like-minded in both its ethics and in the way it does business.

"We have seen considerable demand for affinity marketing from charities and would be pleased to hear from any charity looking to explore this area in more detail."
