New business Inperio is awaiting FCA approval

Lead professional indemnity consultant Simon Lovat is leaving United Insurance Brokers (UIB) to set up his own insurance firm.

Lovat had been with UIB since 2008 where he was initially a divisional director and then later a consultant.

He is in the process of setting up Inperio, a broking and underwriting firm with a team of insurance professionals.

“We are really excited to be launching Inperio. We are waiting our final FCA approval and look forward to be being able to make some announcement of new products and staff hires in the next couple of weeks,” Lovat told Insurance Times.

While at UIB Lovat oversaw the brokers’ personal indemnity insurance book of business, which will now be managed by Paul Craycroft-Rice.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
