VW Group drivers get access to approved repairers
Volkswagen (VW) Financial Services has signed a deal with UK General Insurance to ensure that VW Group customers can get access to VW-approved repairers after a crash.
UK General will underwrite a product called Ensurance, which sits alongside a standard motor policy and grants drivers access to VW’s approved repairers. It will be given away free to VW Group customers.
Cover also includes legal expenses and advice after a claim.
UK General managing director schemes Karen Beales said: “We are delighted to be working with brands such as VW, Škoda and SEAT. Ensurance guarantees peace of mind for VW customers by ensuring repairs are undertaken by VW Group trained technicians, using genuine brand parts and paint.”
VW Financial Services head of insurance Robert Cottrell said: “Drivers are often unaware that, when their car is damaged in an accident, repairs and parts are not always VW-approved. This new scheme gives our customers extra benefits and the all-important high quality repair if their car is damaged.”
