Scheme developed alongside Policyfast to provide cover for standard and more complex risks

Leeds-based specialist insurer UK General has launched its sixth caravan owners’ scheme, partnering with wholesale underwriting agency, Policyfast.

The latest scheme – which offers standard and specialist caravan cover – is part of the insurer’s plan to expand its “tyre track” among brokers and companies with a significant presence in the caravan market.

Alongside typical risks, the policy will also cover twin and single axle caravans, tourers up to 20 years with no width/length restrictions and static caravans covered up to 30 years.

UK General MD schemes Karen Beales said: “With an increasing interest in touring holidays in the UK and Europe, the caravan market is certainly a growing opportunity for providing a comprehensive and tailored level of insurance cover.

“And based on our growing experience with, and knowledge of, the needs of caravan owners, we have worked with Policyfast to devise a scheme that meets both standard and more specialist cover demands.”

Recently, UK General announced a caravan scheme deal with Cambridgeshire-based Lifesure Group aimed at high-end touring caravans.
